Our strikethrough text generator draws a line through your words — l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ — using special Unicode marks, so you can copy and paste crossed-out text into apps that have no strikethrough button, like your Instagram bio, an X (Twitter) post, or a Discord username.
Strikethrough styles you can make
- Single strikethrough — o̶n̶e̶ ̶l̶i̶n̶e̶ through the text, the classic crossed-out look
- Double strikethrough — t̳w̳o̳ lines for stronger emphasis
- Slash & tilde overlays — diagonal and wavy variations
Why use strikethrough text?
Crossed-out text is a popular way to show a "before and after", make a joke, cross off a to-do, or display a price that has dropped. Because most social apps have no strikethrough button, this generator adds the line using combining Unicode characters so the effect survives copy and paste.
Where it works
Strikethrough text displays correctly on Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, WhatsApp, and Discord. A few older apps may show the line slightly offset, but on modern phones and browsers it lines up cleanly.
